The mission of the gynecology service is to ensure the follow-up of women throughout their reproductive life and during menopause. It welcomes women and couples with maximum comfort and safety, respecting the privacy and values of each individual. The service is composed of several units: gynecology polyclinic, gynecological-obstetrical emergencies, reproductive medicine and gynecological endocrinology, perineology, surgical onco-gynecology and surgical senology. Thanks to the emphasis placed on research, the service offers women the best possible quality of care, in compliance with established procedures at both federal and international levels. The HUG Gynecology Service has cutting-edge expertise for the management of women suffering from gynecological cancer. As soon as the diagnosis is made, the team establishes a personalized care pathway adapted to each situation, performs all examinations on-site, and proposes all treatment techniques currently available to treat cancers. The medical team can also propose integrating a research protocol. Made possible by the evolution of medical imaging, minimally invasive surgical techniques are used to diagnose or remove tumors. Certain types of cancer and certain cancer treatment techniques may have an impact on the fertility of the patient. Medical techniques preserve the possibility of having a child following treatments. Job Description ## In your capacity as an assistant physician, you guarantee the quality of medical services in the surgical onco-gynecology unit. You collaborate with medical-care staff in care and ensure the coordination of practical activities, as well as the diagnostic and therapeutic strategies of the patients entrusted to you. Evolving in a stimulating university environment, within a multidisciplinary team, you demonstrate leadership and leverage your excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills in a multidisciplinary team and with patients. Furthermore, you have demonstrated strong adaptability. You efficiently accompany, mentor, and supervise the resident doctors and chief residents of the unit in their skill development. Demonstrating a confirmed interest in teaching, you participate in pre/post-graduate and continuing education within the unit and the gynecology service. You take part in the on-call duties of the chief residents of the gynecology and obstetrics services. Demonstrating dynamism, flexibility, and commitment, you develop interdisciplinary clinical projects and deploy and ensure research in the unit. Upon request, you participate in the on-call system of the gynecology service. Qualifications ## You hold a federal medical diploma or a title deemed equivalent recognized by MEBEKO. You benefit from an FMH title in gynecology and obstetrics or have a title deemed equivalent recognized by MEBEKO. You have in-depth training in surgical gynecology and gynecological oncology (or are in the process of obtaining it). You possess the right to practice allowing you to practice in the canton of Geneva and you have a minimum French level of C1. You have a doctoral thesis, privat-docent, or a title deemed equivalent. You are a dynamic, flexible, and committed person.
