The Schule für Gestaltung Bern und Biel is the significant competence center for vocational and continuing education in the areas of design, communication, media and art with a strong supra-regional radiance. Per semester, up to 2000 learners, students, course participants, teachers, employees and guests come and go here. In this creative and lively environment, the facilities management team ensures the smooth operation of the buildings - and thus contributes to ensuring that teaching can take place in a clean, safe and functional environment. For our Bern location, we are looking for from 1. August 2026 or by arrangement a Facilities Management Employee (40%) Your tasks You undertake maintenance and repair work in the school premises and look after the workshop assigned to you. You handle smaller technical projects independently. You coordinate and accompany the assignments of external craftsmen. You are responsible for opening and closing the buildings as well as for inspection rounds in the rooms. You undertake evening and Saturday shifts (usually one Friday evening and one Saturday shift per month), including building closures and inspection rounds. At school events and external events, you help with the preparation and provision of the rooms – partly also outside of regular school hours. You undertake various administrative tasks, including material purchasing, invoice verification, the administration and issuance of badges as well as the processing of inquiries. Your profile Completed basic craft training, ideally as a Fachperson Betriebsunterhalt EFZ. Several years of professional experience in the field of facilities management; experience in a comparable function is an advantage. Independent, reliable and proactive way of working. Enjoyment of physical work and readiness for on-call and shift services. Team-oriented personality with a good sense for dealing with different groups of people and a portion of humor.
