A conductor stands before the orchestra and sets the tone with a baton. A bandleader stands right in the middle, plays along, counts in – and listens closely to when it is time for the others' solo.

This is exactly the person we are looking for: someone to lead our family-oriented marketing and fundraising agency into the next generation. With groove, with stance, and with joy in the shared sound.

The Band

asm Fundraising AG has been playing for non-profit organizations, foundations, and public institutions for more than 40 years – on stages throughout Switzerland and in several languages. Our 20 musicians master very different instruments: strategy, creation, data, and fundraising.

What holds us together is not a sheet of music, but a shared attitude. Reliability, respect, and the ambition to serve the cause are the fundamental tone upon which everything is built. Regarding tour planning, the Board of Directors is on board: as a sparring partner who listens, thinks along, and helps shape the shared sound.

Your Role in the Band

• Keeping the groove: You set the strategic direction, think ahead, and further develop the repertoire of our agency together with the Board of Directors.
• Playing along instead of conducting: You stand in the middle of the team, lead with appreciation and implementation strength, and live our values – out of conviction, not out of duty.
• Enabling solos: You recognize talents, promote and coach them, enjoy delegating, and combine individual voices into new sounds.
• Compiling the setlist: You manage the client portfolio according to profitability and complexity, win new mandates, and recognize which pieces fit together.
• Staying in time: You have figures, key figures, and controlling under control, use contractual models flexibly, and ensure structures that function even without you.
• Daring new pieces: You question existing things, drive digitalization forward, and create space for improvisation – without losing sight of the final chord.
• Standing on stage: You represent the agency credibly externally and remain calm when a string snaps.

What You Bring

Your instrument case

• Degree at tertiary level (FH or university), ideally with CAS or MBA
• Experience as a managing director or member of management
• Understanding of fundraising and a network in the NPO and philanthropy sector
• Proficiency in business administration, negotiation skills, and project management experience
• Digital judgment that does not lose sight of people – with a fine ear for critical inquiries and feedback
• Understanding of the interplay of the federalist Switzerland
• German and French business fluent, English very good; Italian is your encore
