Exciting tasks await:

• The school preparation course (EVK) prepares children and young people from the asylum sector for the transition into regular school.
• As a class teacher, you will teach and accompany children (kindergarten - 2nd grade) who reside in the cantonal accommodation in Wettingen.
• Together with the teachers of Cycle 2 and 3, you will shape the EVK at the Wettingen location.
• During team working time on Tuesday afternoons, you will actively engage in school and instructional development.
• You will work closely with the accommodation care staff and thus contribute to ensuring that processes in the asylum sector function smoothly.

What you bring:

• You possess a recognized diploma as a Cycle 1 teacher. Further training in DaZ is an advantage.
• You feel comfortable in a dynamic environment and react adequately and flexibly to rapidly changing circumstances.
• You enjoy working with people from different countries and can respond to children from other cultural backgrounds.
• You teach with great joy, patience, and commitment. The individual support of the students is close to your heart.
• You are a cheerful, team-oriented, and communicative personality with high empathy.
• Working days Monday to Friday, various timetable variants are possible
• Class sizes of max. 12 children

Your working environment

The population is at the center of the activities of the Department of Health and Social Affairs. We work sustainably and purposefully for the security of their living areas.
The Cantonal Social Service is responsible for public social assistance, asylum and refugee affairs, as well as victim counseling and victim assistance. It is the appeals authority in the field of social assistance and supports the municipalities in the implementation of their family and elderly policies. In doing so, we work closely with other administrative offices, the municipalities, other cantons, the Confederation, and third-party organizations.
