The Stiftung arboa operates a social pedagogical care facility for foster children with three locations in the Biel-Seeland region.
In the summer of 2026, our Birkenhof Aarberg location was reopened with a new concept. In two groups of 6 children each, we care for preschool children or school-age children who are dependent on child-friendly and loving care in the medium or long term. For these two groups, we have assembled a completely new team for each. Now, with a view to admitting more children, we are looking for a supplement to these teams as a

You ###

• have training in social pedagogy or social work FH or HF or child education HF and some experience in direct work with children.
• enjoy contributing to the well-being, positive development, and good daily management of the children as part of a newly formed care team, and also participating in the development of a new care facility within this framework.
• are resilient and can assert yourself even in more demanding situations.
• are willing to be away for the children during one night shift per week, on two weekend days per month, and possibly also once during a holiday camp week.
• speak very good German.

We ###

• offer you contemporary employment conditions. Remuneration is based on the salary scale of the Canton of Bern.
• provide a workplace in a child-friendly property in the immediate vicinity of the Old Town of Aarberg, within walking distance of the train station.

As the Birkenhof team ###

• you shape the pedagogical daily life of the children and the group, accompany the children during shared leisure activities, during homework, and in the performance of daily activities.
• you develop developmental goals and a support plan for each child and implement them. In doing so, you take on the role of reference person for individual children.
• you occasionally also assist with tasks in the area of food preparation or household management.
