What you can contribute

• Advise departments and the office management on general data protection issues, as well as on themes related to data processing, information systems or even IT or digital projects.
• Accompany IT and digital projects and develop, in collaboration with the specialized departments and relevant IT services, solutions compliant with data protection rules for business systems and processes
• Conduct legal basis analyses, data protection impact assessments and risk assessments for data processing, information systems or IT projects
• Analyze data protection issues at the intersection of law, data management, information systems and business processes and develop positions, directives and information sheets
• Support specialized departments in implementing data protection requirements in systems and processes and raise awareness in these departments regarding the relevant provisions and their impact on business processes

What makes you unique

• Higher education degree (master's) in law
• Good knowledge of data protection law, ideally supplemented by additional training in this field
• Strong affinity for data and information systems; ability and motivation to understand how they function, the underlying business processes and the legal and organizational issues; professional experience related to information systems, IT projects or digital business processes is an asset
• Solution-oriented way of working, analytical and digital-focused mindset, ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner, both orally and in writing
• Good consulting skills, assurance, structured way of working and sense of initiative
• Very good knowledge of two official languages as well as English, minimum level B2

The Data Compliance Division ensures secure, responsible and legally compliant data management throughout its entire life cycle. It is responsible for the Data Compliance Management System (DCMS) at the office level as well as the related governance, audit and control structures.

The Data Protection Domain advises fedpol on data protection issues and notably accompanies projects and information systems in the context
