Senior VMware & VxRail System Engineer / ASAP / Lausanne

Our client is looking for a Senior VMware System Engineer to ensure the operation, administration, and evolution of its critical virtualized platforms. You will contribute to the availability, performance, and optimization of strategic production environments while providing your expertise on complex incidents and infrastructure projects.

Missions
Administer VMware vSphere environments.
Manage ESXi and vCenter infrastructures.
Ensure the operation of Dell VxRail and vSAN platforms.
Supervise compute, storage, and network resources.
Optimize the performance and capacity of virtualized environments.
Perform updates, patches, and maintenance operations.
Participate in evolution, migration, and modernization projects of infrastructures.
Analyze and resolve complex level 3 incidents.
Provide technical support to production teams and projects.
Contribute to the management of major incidents and critical situations.
Produce and maintain technical and operational documentation.
Ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
Candidate Profile
Minimum 7 years of experience in administration and operation of VMware infrastructures.
Excellent mastery of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN.
Proven experience on Dell VxRail platforms.
Solid experience in critical production environments.
Recognized expertise in diagnosis and resolution of complex incidents.
Good understanding of performance, capacity, and availability issues.
Knowledge of Linux environments (Red Hat, Debian).
Experience with Dell PPDM and Dell Data Domain backup solutions appreciated.
Knowledge of SAN, NAS, or Object Storage architectures.
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Centreon or Grafana.
Analytical mind, autonomy, and ability to manage priorities.
Excellent interpersonal skills and sense of service.
