The Wesley Haus age center offers 78 residents a family-like home in the middle of busy Kleinbasel. The offering includes residential areas for general as well as psychogeriatric care and nursing, as well as a nursing residential group for people with dementia. In the immediate vicinity of Wesley Haus is the Clara Park with 44 units for independent living in old age.

Alterszentrum Wesley Haus belongs to Bethesda Alterszentren AG, a network organization of various age centers in German-speaking Switzerland, which is anchored in an open Christian value culture.

Do you like to roll up your sleeves and ensure that everything runs smoothly in the kitchen? With us, you make an important contribution to the well-being of our around 100 residents. Whether it is preparing fresh ingredients, doing the washing up, or general kitchen tasks – you support the kitchen team where help is needed and ensure that everything behind the scenes remains clean and organized.
You support the kitchen team in the preparation and cooking of fresh meals.
You prepare vegetables, salads and fruits and assist with plating the meals.
You operate the dishwasher and ensure that dishes, cutlery and kitchen utensils are clean and ready for use at all times.
You keep the washing-up kitchen as well as the work and storage rooms clean and tidy.
You value cleanliness and ensure compliance with our hygiene and quality standards.
You pitch in where support is currently needed – because teamwork is a high priority for us.

What you bring with you
Training as a Kitchen Assistant EBA or many years of professional experience in a comparable activity.
Good German skills for daily communication and understanding work instructions (at least B1).
Enjoyment of cleaning work as well as a respectful and careful handling of food.
Quick comprehension, reliability and team spirit.

Regulated working hours – no split shifts – 1-2 weekends off per month – evening shifts until max. 7 PM
