For the Staatsanwaltschaft Oberland in Thun, we are looking for a prosecutor's assistant.

Your tasks

• Supporting the prosecutors in all duties and activities provided for by law
• Secretarial work, organization, and recording of interrogations of suspects, witnesses, and persons providing information
• File management and monitoring
• Case, appointment, and deadline control
• Correspondence with authorities, parties, and third parties
• Case-specific on-call service as support for the prosecutor

Your profile

• Commercial or equivalent training
• Several years of professional experience (preferably in the field of justice, police, and/or legal practice)
• You have a flair and interest for legal issues
• You are characterized by reliable, correct, and expeditious working
• You have a quick grasp and the necessary assertiveness and perseverance
• Through your open and communicative nature, you contribute to a positive climate within the team
• You are a native German speaker and have good oral French skills (B1)

The Staatsanwaltschaft is responsible for the enforcement of the state's right to prosecute. It conducts the preliminary proceedings, prosecutes offenses within the framework of investigations, files charges if necessary, and represents these charges in court. In minor cases, it issues a penal order. Organizationally, the Staatsanwaltschaft of the Canton of Bern consists of the Generalstaatsanwaltschaft, three Staatsanwaltschaften for the entire cantonal territory (one Staatsanwaltschaft for the prosecution of economic offenses, one Staatsanwaltschaft for special tasks, and one Staatsanwaltschaft for juvenile criminal matters), as well as four regional Staatsanwaltschaften (Berner Jura-Seeland, Emmental-Oberaargau, Bern-Mittelland, and Oberland).
