Apprenticeship 2027: IT Specialist EFZ Platform Development

As a 100% subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik, our employees are responsible for the product AMOS (Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering System), which is used by over 230 well-known airlines worldwide for the maintenance of modern aircraft fleets.

The profession of IT specialist in platform development has advanced to become one of the most important in today's digital world. From August 2027, we are offering an apprenticeship as IT Specialist EFZ specialization Platform Development (4 years) and are looking for a team player like you!

The content of the apprenticeship

We offer you versatile training in the specialization of platform development. As a specialist, you plan, manage, and maintain physical or virtual server systems and services. This includes the installation and configuration of PC workstations and servers, but also the monitoring of IT components, administration locally as well as in the cloud so that they are available to users without interruption. You are also responsible for the backup so that no data is lost. You ensure the security of the data, the systems, and the networks.

Your training

The apprenticeship lasts four years and is completed with the Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (Eidgenössisches Fähigkeitszeugnis). The practical training takes place with us in the company and is supplemented by introductory courses. During the entire training period, you will attend the Gewerblich-Industrielle Berufsschule. The lessons include a modularly structured IT training, general education subjects, and a well-developed range of elective subjects.

You are interested in the Berufsmatura

At Swiss-AS, you also have the opportunity to attend the Berufsmaturitätsschule and obtain the Berufsmatura. This entitles you to admission to a University of Applied Sciences without an entrance exam after your apprenticeship.

Requirements

• Completed Volksschule, upper level (Sek P, E)
• Interest in IT as well as the aviation industry
• Interest and good performance in mathematics, in the scientific subjects as well as German and English
• Fulfillment of the conditions for exam-free admission to the apprenticeship-accompanying Berufsmatura - BMS (https://www.berufsmaturbb.ch/home/berufsmaturitaet-bm1/zulassung.htm)
