Social Worker (80 - 100%)

Do you want to put your skills at the service of individuals and households in precarious financial situations in the French-speaking part of the canton of Berne? Are you interested in participating in over-indebtedness prevention actions among young people (16-25 years old)?

Then you might be the new:
Social Worker (80-100%)
that the Centre social protestant Berne-Jura is looking to recruit to strengthen its Social and debt sector.

Main tasks:

• offering counseling and support services to indebted individuals and households based on a service mandate from the Office de l'intégration et de l'action sociale of the canton of Berne
• participating in targeted over-indebtedness prevention actions among young people and young adults (mainly apprentices)

Requirements:

• HES training in social work (bachelor or master level) or legal training at master level or a title deemed equivalent
• interest in supporting individuals and households who are over-indebted or facing financial difficulties
• CAS specialization in debt management or availability to complete this training while employed
• good ability to plan, organize and coordinate the work to be carried out
• sense of listening, dialogue and aptitude for negotiation
• communication and writing skills

Workplaces: Biel/Bienne (mainly), Moutier or Tramelan (occasionally)
Start date: 1st January 2027 or date to be agreed
