At the TREMOLA youth station of the Universitäres Psychiatrisches Zentrum Bern (UPZ), you will support adolescents between 14 and 17 years old in psychologically challenging life situations. Within a protected inpatient framework, you will work closely with the adolescents and their environment and actively help shape the therapeutic everyday life.

What makes your work special: You take on case responsibility for a maximum of two adolescents, which allows you to build sustainable relationships and closely accompany developments. In doing so, you are part of an interprofessional team consisting of nursing, social pedagogy, therapy, and medicine. You can expect a dynamic, motivated team with a lot of expertise, humor, and room for your perspective - in the middle of the city of Bern.

Your tasks

• You accompany adolescents aged 14 to 17 in everyday inpatient psychiatric life and together with them shape a reliable and structured framework
• You take on the primary caregiver and case work for a maximum of two adolescents and accompany their individual development and treatment process
• You shape relationships, strengthen resources, and support the adolescents in developing new perspectives and possibilities for action
• You actively contribute your professional perspective to the interprofessional treatment and work closely with nursing, social pedagogy, therapy, and medicine
• You conduct conversations, shape everyday life, and accompany the adolescents also in challenging and acute situations
• You involve parents, primary caregivers, and other relevant agencies in the support in a situation-appropriate manner
• You document your work professionally and participate in reports, case discussions, and joint treatment planning
• You work in early and late shifts as well as approximately once per month on weekends

Your profile

• You have a degree as a dipl. Fachperson Sozialpädagogik, Heilpädagogik or Pflegefachperson (HF/FH)
• You enjoy working with adolescents and ideally bring experience in a psychiatric or psychosocial environment
• You are interested in different types of mental disorders and can also act calmly, clearly, and professionally in challenging situations
• You have experience in primary caregiver or case work or want to develop further in this area
• You enjoy working interprofessionally, actively contribute to the team, and appreciate different professional perspectives
• You are reliable, resilient, and reflective, and enjoy accompanying adolescents in their development
• You bring humor, commitment, and an appreciative attitude
• You are prepared to take on irregular working hours with early and late shifts as well as about once monthly weekend services
• You can demonstrate an unblemished record (private and special private certificate)
• You have very good German skills in speaking and writing, every additional language is a plus
