Description of tasks
Maintenance, inspection, and classification of product master data in the area of customs and trade compliance (e.g., customs tariff numbers, country of origin, preference, and export control data)
Advising and supporting internal stakeholders on customs, export control, and trade compliance issues
Co-responsibility for the implementation and monitoring of export control and sanction requirements
Participation in cross-departmental customs and compliance projects
Monitoring regulatory changes and ensuring compliance with legal requirements as well as internal guidelines
Conducting training and awareness measures to promote compliance awareness
Support during audits and official inspections
Creation and further development of guidelines, work instructions, and process documentation in the area of trade compliance
Support in the optimization and further development of customs and trade compliance processes in cooperation with international stakeholders
Key user for trade compliance applications as well as support for system adjustments and tests
Profile
Technical, logistical, or commercial basic training
Further training as a foreign trade specialist with federal diploma, customs specialist, or comparable qualification is an advantage
Several years of professional experience in the import, export, or customs environment
Experience in the area of trade compliance as well as interest in international customs and export control topics
Sound knowledge in the area of origin of goods, preference law, and supplier declarations
Knowledge in goods tariff classification and master data maintenance (HS codes, CH/EU/UK tariff classification)
Good user knowledge in MS Office as well as ideally experience with trade compliance systems
Very good German and English skills (level C1) in spoken and written form
Analytical, structured, and independent way of working
High quality orientation, strong communication skills, and enjoyment of working with various stakeholders
