The Health Directorate of the Canton of Zürich ensures high-quality and secure healthcare. The Finance Department in the General Secretariat is responsible for the financial management of the directorate as well as the accounting. In addition, we are responsible for the area of individual premium reductions (IPV) and verify the correct use of the allocated state contributions by means of state contribution audits.

For the department, we are looking for an Accounting Clerk 70 - 80% starting immediately or by arrangement.

Your tasks ###

• Ensuring day-to-day operational business in accounting
• Maintenance of the general ledger as well as accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Participation in interim and annual financial statements including IC reconciliations
• Supporting the departments with technical questions related to accounting
• Documentation and review of processes and controls as well as participation in their further development
• Active involvement in projects in the field of accounting as well as in its further development

What you bring with you ###

You have training in accounting, for example as an Accounting Clerk or a comparable qualification. Even if you are currently undergoing corresponding further training, we look forward to your application. In addition, you bring initial to several years of professional experience in accounting and have ideally already gained insight into the closing process.

You work carefully, in a structured and reliable manner and enjoy taking responsibility for your area of tasks. Your IT affinity is good and your handling of common MS Office applications is proficient. Knowledge of SAP FI/CO is an advantage.

You enjoy familiarizing yourself with new topics and systems. In doing so, you think ahead, recognize optimization possibilities and are interested in digital and efficient solutions. As a team player, you value cooperation with different stakeholders and communicate clearly and bindingly. Experience in public administration or in the healthcare sector is a plus, but not a requirement.
