(Senior) Data Migration Engineer - Investment Finance | 80-100% (m/w/d)

As a Data Migration Engineer - Investment Finance, you are responsible for the most critical part of every onboarding: the clean transfer of data from the old system to our portfolio management platform and the setup of daily data feeds. Because only with correct, complete data does the system deliver reliable results - they are the foundation for every portfolio management and financial decision of our demanding customers. With your unique combination of financial knowledge and technical expertise, you make a significant contribution to successfully migrating large customer portfolios to the QPLIX platform and thus shaping the future of wealth management. End-to-end data migration: You take full technical responsibility for complex migrations - customer master data, position and transaction data, as well as the investment universe. Data quality: You are responsible for validating, plausibilizing, and ensuring the quality of the migrated data, including reconciliation with the source systems. Interfaces to custodian banks and data providers: You build and maintain data connections to custodian banks and data providers - the daily feeds without which portfolios cannot be managed. Automation of partial steps of data migration. Optimization of processes for better scalability of migration projects. Detailed analysis of complex datasets (e.g., exports from old systems) for takeover into the target system. Consulting project teams on challenges in data takeover. Interface between consultants, development department, and customers. Successfully completed studies in the field of (business) computer science, financial mathematics (or comparable qualification). Several years of experience in analyzing, preparing, and taking over large amounts of data, ideally in the financial industry. In-depth understanding of common liquid asset classes (stocks, bonds, derivatives, etc.) and the associated financial transactions, including corporate actions. Very good knowledge of Python and solid SQL skills (relational databases); experience with document-oriented databases (e.g., MongoDB) and other languages is an advantage. Outstanding analytical skills and structured, solution-oriented thinking. Very good organizational skills, quick grasp, and independent work. Careful handling of sensitive customer data. Negotiation-proof in German and English (C1), additional national languages are an advantage.
