Service Manager WLAN & Network Services

A stable network is not just background technology for us. It ensures that clinics, medical technology, communication, alerting, and digital processes function reliably. WLAN, in particular, is mission-critical in a hospital environment: mobile clinical work, medical devices, location services, and monitoring rely on a stable connection. We are responsible for one of the larger WLAN environments in Switzerland with over 6,000 Access Points. The technical operation of our network services is carried out by external providers. In this role, you will ensure that requirements from hospital operations are understood, providers are cleanly managed, and sustainable solutions are implemented. What awaits you <br /> • You take on the main responsibility for the WLAN service and develop it further from the perspective of quality, availability, and service management. • You manage our external providers in a partnership-based, clear, and binding manner. • You collect requirements from clinics, medical technology, business services, and ICT and translate them into understandable orders for the provider. • You professionally assess technical solution proposals in the WLAN and network environment and ensure that they fit the hospital reality. • For incidents, problems, changes, and service transitions, you ensure clean coordination, clear communication, and sustainable improvements. • You accompany or represent topics related to LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN if necessary, together with the technical specialists. <br /> What you bring with you <br /> • An education in computer science or a comparable qualification with corresponding practical experience. • Several years of experience in the network environment, ideally with WLAN in a larger enterprise, campus, or hospital environment. • Good understanding of WLAN and network contexts, for example, radio coverage, roaming, NAC, IP services, monitoring, and service quality. • Experience in service management, provider management, and dealing with incidents, problems, and changes. • The ability to capture requirements from the business, structure them, and mediate between the specialist department, provider, and ICT. • A calm, binding, and pragmatic manner, even when things get tight in operations. • Experience with LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, projects, rollouts, or regulated environments is an advantage. <br /> Our offer <br /> • A responsible role with a direct impact on hospital operations. • A large, demanding WLAN and network environment with high criticality. • Exciting interfaces to clinics, medical technology, security, architecture, operations, and external providers. • The opportunity to actively improve network services without being solely in technical operations. • A collegial team that values technical competence, personal responsibility, and cooperation. • A hybrid working model with a home office component.
