Specialist in Charge Civil Engineering

Responsibilities:

• You assume technical responsibility for all topics related to civil engineering in the Biel/Seeland region
• As a specialist in charge, you are the contact person for questions regarding regional civil engineering and road construction – from the feasibility study to project implementation
• As general manager of civil engineering projects, you lead the involved specialist planners (e.g., pipe construction, HVAC) and take over construction management
• You ensure that project-related specifications regarding deadlines, costs, and quality are met
• With your specialist knowledge and your open manner, you actively participate in acquisition and customer care
• You observe developments in standards, materials, and procedures and specifically convey this knowledge in internal training sessions and provide subject-related support to younger engineers

Requirements:

• You are a civil engineer FH/ETH and have several years of experience in public civil engineering
• You have in-depth knowledge in utility line construction, road construction, and common repair procedures and have experience in leading interdisciplinary project teams and in construction management
• Experience in district heating planning and district heating pipeline construction is an advantage
• You want to support our team with your motivated, independent, and collegial manner as well as your professional experience and contribute with all your heart to our exciting and long-term projects
• You have very good oral and written German skills, as well as preferably good French skills
