• Lead the Schengen Search Commissariat (SIRENE) in personal, organizational, and technical respects
• Coordinate the technical search and criminal police information exchange, particularly in the area of international search requests in the SIS (Schengen Information System)
• Maintain close cooperation with the Federal Office of Justice, State Secretariat for Migration, Federal Office for Customs and Border Security, particularly the cantonal police forces and other national partners, as well as internationally with the other search offices of the Schengen states
• Ensure operations, management, and coordination of workflows within the commissariat
• Strategically support the development of Schengen search and participate in national and international committees as required

What makes you unique

• Federal Diploma <<Polizistin/Polizist>>, legal or police further training is an advantage
• Several years of leadership experience and police knowledge, particularly in criminal police work, as well as in-depth knowledge of criminal and criminal procedure law
• Very good editorial skills and communication and cooperation skills
• Resilient personality, ability to integrate quickly into a team and work collegially
• Very good knowledge of two of our official languages as well as in English. Further language skills are an advantage

The Directorate for International Police Cooperation (IPK) of fedpol ensures cooperation between the Confederation and the cantons as well as with foreign partner authorities, operates the national contact points for international search and information exchange (e.g., via INTERPOL, Europol and Schengen) and ensures police coordination in cross-border and international situations.
The Operations and Alarm Center -- SIRENE CH is the national contact point for police information and search exchange within the framework of the Schengen Information System (SIS). It processes police inquiries from home and abroad around the clock, coordinates their forwarding to the responsible national authorities and supports international search and investigation procedures as well as the management of special situations.
