Project Manager Automation

For our client, an internationally active Swiss industrial company in the field of high-precision plastic parts and assemblies, we are looking for a technically savvy, proactive and solution-oriented personality as a Project Manager Automation (m/f/d).

In this versatile role, you will take responsibility for demanding automation projects – from the initial idea through technical conception and procurement to a successful series production start.

Your area of responsibility

• Overall management of automation projects including functional, schedule and cost responsibility
• Development and elaboration of innovative plant and automation concepts
• Evaluation and selection of suitable plants, components and suppliers
• Conducting price and contract negotiations with external partners
• Coordination of all internal and external project participants and interfaces
• Accompanying projects from the concept phase to commissioning and series readiness
• Participation in feasibility studies and contribution of technical know-how to new product ideas
• Ensuring goal-oriented communication with customers, suppliers and internal specialist departments
• Continuous optimization of technical solutions with regard to quality, economic efficiency and process reliability

Your profile

• Higher technical vocational training, preferably in automation technology, mechanical engineering or a comparable field
• Experience in supporting and implementing automation projects
• Good knowledge of project management as well as strong goal and result orientation
• Technical understanding as well as analytical and networked thinking skills
• Creative, independent and solution-oriented way of working
• Strong organizational talent, initiative and flexibility
• Strong communication and convincing personality with enjoyment in working with different contact persons
• Very good English skills, other language skills are an advantage
• Good user knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office
• CAD knowledge is an advantage
