Paramedic Head of Service (M/F)

• Strategy and governance — participate in defining the institution's development strategies and maintain a functional relationship with General Management
• Operational management — organize and structure teams to achieve the objectives of the cantonal service contract and the réseau de l’Arc; supervise planning, training, and medico-delegated acts
• Human resources — develop an efficient, equitable, and participatory HR management mode: recruitment, job descriptions, conflict management, team dynamics
• Quality — guarantee the application of care quality standards
• Administrative and financial management — participate in budget preparation, validate purchases and investments within agreed limits
• Partnerships & representation — represent the service to professional partners and cantonal authorities

Training:

• Professional title of Ambulancier ES, or title deemed equivalent
• Managerial training in the health field, or title deemed equivalent, or willing to undergo it

Experience and skills:

• 5 years of professional experience as an ambulancier ES
• Several years of experience in managing a rescue service
• Good mastery of the cantonal and federal health system
• Ability to mobilize teams in a participatory management style
• Sense of communication, empathy, and listening
• Autonomy and initiative
• Respect for institutional values and irreproachable ethics

Your decision-making autonomy:

As Head of Service, you will notably have the responsibility to set salaries upon hiring, award salary increases and bonuses, establish investment requests, and validate invoices and training requests.
