What you can achieve: As a member of the Rotor area at the GE Vernova production site in Birr, you will actively contribute as a miller in a 3-shift operation to support the department in production and demonstrate your own initiative. Your tasks: • Operate a CNC-controlled milling machine for the machining of turbine and generator shafts (up to 240 t, 2.4 m diameter and 16 m length) (Siemens 840d sl control) • Monitor manufacturing processes and troubleshoot malfunctions as well as inform supervisors • Maintain and monitor tool inventory • Independently perform quality control (dimensional and visual) and record specified inspection dimensions • Ensure the optimal use of the equipment and operating resources necessary for production • Prepare follow-up orders in advance • Register completed work steps and report them in the SAP system • Execute special orders What you should bring (basic qualifications): • Training as a miller or comparable training • Several years of relevant professional experience • Good knowledge of CNC machining • Good knowledge of reading technical drawings and documents • Good German skills in speaking and writing • PC skills What distinguishes you: • Teamwork, discipline, flexibility for additional assignments • Careful, quality-conscious and exact way of working • Quick comprehension What we offer you: Employees at GE Vernova take on the challenge of contributing to the creation of a world that is doing well.
