Laborservice Techniker (m/w/d)-Mikrobiologie Job description Your tasks: Labor support: You prepare microbiological media, reagents, glassware, and laboratory consumables, label, document, and distribute them in compliance with GMP requirements. In addition, you support the daily laboratory operation, ensure clean and organized work areas, and ensure the timely availability of all materials needed for testing. Inventory and material management: You receive laboratory items and consumables, inspect, store, and manage them. You also monitor inventory levels, coordinate reorders, and support the provision of laboratory clothing and personal protective equipment. Waste, equipment, and facility support: You perform tasks in the area of laboratory waste management and maintain the associated documentation. You also carry out regular inspections of laboratory equipment and work areas, document the results, and report deviations or problems to the responsible contacts as needed. Quality and compliance: You ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with GMP, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. You also carry out the necessary documentation carefully and support investigations, CAPA measures, and initiatives for process improvement. Continuous improvement and training: You contribute to the optimization of laboratory processes and documentation, support training activities, share best practices, and promote efficiency, compliance, and the quality of the services provided. Your profile At Avantor, we are looking for a committed Laborservice Techniker (m/w/d) – Mikrobiologie, who provides important laborservice services in a GMP-regulated microbiological laboratory at our customer site in Schaffhausen. In this position, you are responsible for the timely provision of materials for microbiological tests, ensuring laboratory readiness, supporting inventory and waste management processes, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. You work closely with laboratory analysts, technicians, and superiors to ensure compliance with GMP requirements, customer guidelines, and applicable health, safety, and quality standards, while also ensuring an efficient flow of microbiological test activities. This position is fully located on site at the customer site in Schaffhausen. We offer an unlimited full-time contract (40 hours/week). The working hours are regular, Monday to Friday. No shift or weekend work is required. Your profile Education: Completed technical training, vocational training, or equivalent qualification in the fields of laboratory technology, biotechnology, microbiology, life sciences, or a related field. Professional experience: Professional experience in a GMP-regulated environment in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical technology industry, or a comparable laboratory is required. Experience in supporting microbiological laboratory processes is an advantage. Knowledge of laboratory inventory management, media production, or general laborservice tasks is desirable. Skills and competencies Fluent German language skills (C1) and good English language skills in word and writing are required. Knowledge of GMP principles and documentation requirements. Strong organizational and time management skills. Independent working method with high attention to detail. Good communication and team skills.
