Faculty Controller The Vetsuisse Faculty of the University of Zurich is among the most renowned veterinary medicine faculties in Europe. With our institutes, we make an important contribution to the health of animals, humans, and the environment. For this versatile specialist function, we are looking for an analytically strong personality who coordinates central controlling and planning processes at the faculty level and supports the dean's office with sound analyses, reportings, and planning bases. You prepare financial and personnel information so that the dean and the responsible management bodies can make decisions based on them. Faculty Controller Tasks Coordination of the faculty's controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and annual closing processes as well as operational execution for the dean's office Independent development of the dean's office's financial and resource planning as well as consolidation of the planning bases developed by the institutes at the faculty level Analysis and commentary of financial and personnel key figures as well as creation of audience-appropriate reportings and decision-making bases for the dean and the responsible management bodies Preparation and coordination of central financial processes such as development and financial planning and investment requests as well as processing of inquiries from university controlling Further development and optimization of controlling, reporting, and planning processes Collaboration in subject-related projects as well as representation of the faculty in university working groups and committees Contact person for finance-relevant questions within the faculty as well as towards central offices of the University of Zurich Profile Completed training with further education in finance and accounting, controlling, or business administration, e.g., federal diploma in finance and accounting or a comparable qualification Professional experience in controlling, ideally in a complex organization Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and data analysis Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as the ability to prepare complex issues in an audience-appropriate manner and convey them understandably High degree of independence and initiative as well as a networked and solution-oriented way of thinking and working Communication strength and enjoyment in working with different stakeholder groups Experience in the further development of processes and instruments as well as in project management is an advantage Affinity for digital solutions, data analyses, and modern reporting tools Very good German and good English skills Experience in a higher education or public environment is an advantage We offer Our employees benefit from diverse and attractive offers.
