As of August 17, 2026, we are looking for a school assistant for a deployment at Schule Hirzenbach.

Tasks ##

Accompaniment of a fourth-grade student in the ISR setting with a focus on language and support for their class teachers and school remedial educationalist in their work with the entire class.

• Accompaniment and simple guidance of the student during practice sessions, according to the assignment of the class/promotional teachers
• Promotion of attention, independence, and reliability of the students
• Accompaniment to external therapies and school offers such as school trips, excursions, and class camps, if required and in agreement with the class team
• Simple organizational work (e.g., provision of materials, toys, etc.)
• Participation in school events
• Working hours: Mon., 13:30-15:15, Wed. 9:00-12:00, Thu., 8:00-12:00, Fri., 10:30-12:00/ 13:30-16:00.

Profile ##

• Enjoyment of working with children (professional experience in working with children in primary school age is an advantage)

The Schulkreis Schwamendingen includes the entire city district 12 of the City of Zürich. Schwamendingen is a lively, multiculturally composed residential quarter. We are easily accessible by public transport via Stettbach and Oerlikon train stations and various tram and bus lines.

Schule Hirzenbach in Zürich-Schwamendingen is a QUIMS school and has been run as a day school since the 2019/2020 school year. This includes various teaching and care areas for students who attend one of the 7 kindergarten and 17 primary classes.
