At SOPHiA GENETICS, we are building the future of AI-assisted and data-driven medicine. Our technology helps healthcare professionals understand complex data, with the ambition of improving outcomes for patients with cancer and rare diseases.
From major European scientific conferences to our own Innovation Summit, we bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, industry experts, and customers to share knowledge and explore the next advances in data-driven medicine.
But marketing is also how we tell our story, create meaningful content, and bring our brand to life.

And you could be part of both.

Join our EMEA Marketing team for a six-month internship and gain practical experience in two areas of marketing: Events and Marketing Content/Brand Projects.

You will help support our Innovation Summit 2027, our flagship annual international event, as well as major scientific conferences such as ESHG, AMP Europe, and EHA. These events bring together thousands of participants from the scientific and medical communities, creating opportunities for knowledge exchange, showcasing innovation, and building meaningful connections.

At the same time, you will contribute to our strategic marketing initiatives, including the deployment of our renewed brand, content creation, curation, and the organization of marketing resources.

You will discover how marketing works from different angles - from the complete organization of an international event to managing the content that brings our brand to life.

What you will work on
This internship will offer a dual marketing rotation, giving you the opportunity to contribute to two complementary areas of our Marketing function.

Events & Field Marketing

Help bring our Innovation Summit 2027 to life. Support the event from initial planning to execution, including coordination, logistics, marketing activities, and follow-up.

Participate in major European and regional conferences. Contribute to the preparation and execution of scientific congresses and regional events, supporting the many components necessary for the success of the events.

Make the details count. Help coordinate event logistics, materials, inventories, schedules, and practical arrangements so that everything is ready at the right time.

Support event marketing and communication. Contribute to promotional activities, social media content, and marketing materials that help us connect with our audiences before, during, and after events.

Work collaboratively with teams. Collaborate with colleagues from Marketing, Sales, and other functions, as well as external vendors and stakeholders to align priorities and keep everyone informed.

Drive projects forward. Ensure task follow-up, deadline compliance, stakeholder coordination, and help resolve unforeseen challenges related to organizing international events.

Marketing Content & Brand Project

Help bring our renewed brand to life. Support the deployment of our rebranding initiatives by helping to update marketing materials and ensuring that content reflects our evolving brand identity.

Participate in content creation and updates. Contribute to the development and adaptation of marketing content for different channels, audiences, and campaigns.

Support our content audit. Review existing marketing materials, identify content to be updated, and help ensure that our resources remain relevant, accurate, and consistent.

Keep our marketing resources organized. Help manage, update, and structure our content libraries and storage systems so that teams can easily find and use the materials they need.

Contribute to social media activities. Support the preparation, coordination, and organization of content for our social media channels.

Collaborate on marketing projects. Work with different members of the Marketing team to support ongoing initiatives, coordinate deliverables, and bring ideas to fruition.

Through these two rotations, you will discover how events, brand, content, and communication work together to create a consistent and engaging experience for our audiences.

Requirements

You could be studying Marketing, Communication, Event Management, Life Sciences, Project Management, or a related field.

It is not necessary to have already organized an international conference or managed a large marketing campaign. We are looking for someone curious, creative, organized, and eager to learn, with an interest in exploring different aspects of marketing.

This internship will likely appeal to you if:

You love organizing things. Whether it's a university event, a group project, or something else outside of your studies, you love planning, coordinating, and paying attention to detail.
