The RIS Swiss Section - Deutschsprachige Schule Bangkok is an international school recognized and supported by Switzerland and Germany with around 350 students from over 20 different nations. Instruction is based on a school-specific curriculum oriented towards the Lucerne and Thuringia curricula. The educational offering covers the entire spectrum from pre-kindergarten to the bilingual Swiss Maturität (German-English).

In this versatile and responsible role, you will take over the operational management of the school and bear responsibility for its pedagogical, personnel, and economic development. The future leadership structure of the school is to be further developed and determined in dialogue between the School Board and the new school management. In this process, the existing level heads (pre-school/primary school and secondary school/gymnasium) as well as the administration management and their teams will play an important role.

Your tasks

• Pedagogical and economic management of the school
• Personnel recruitment and management and ensuring the personal and professional development of the faculty and staff
• Definition of the corporate strategy together with the School Board as well as its implementation
• School development and quality management
• Implementation and further development of the Lucerne Matura reform (WEGM) as well as ensuring its sustainable integration into the school structures, curricula, and teaching concepts
• Conception and implementation of the digital transformation of both pedagogical and economic processes
• Implementation of the marketing strategy, external representation of the school, as well as
• Proactive cooperation in marketing and sales
• Maintenance of relationships with the student body and parents
• Cooperation and maintenance of relationships with the authorities of the patron canton Lucerne and the Federal Office of Culture, as well as the German school authorities (ZfA and KMK), the embassies of the German-speaking countries in Bangkok, as well as the feeder school Ruamrudee International School and various other institutions
• Teaching activity (on a reduced scale)

• Economic know-how and experience in personnel management
• Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong customer orientation and affinity for marketing and public relations
• Personality that can convey trust and enthusiasm
• Readiness for innovation and interest in IT and digitalization
• Resilience, healthy assertiveness, flexibility, teamwork, and decisiveness
• High communication and negotiation skills and a confident appearance
• Openness to different cultures and ideally international experience
• Swiss teaching diploma for Matura schools and profound teaching practice in Switzerland
• Training as a Head of School is desirable
• Very good German and English skills, French skills are an advantage
• Positive attitude and passion for a minimum three-year assignment abroad
