The Department of Women, Children, and Adolescents has the mission of offering quality care adapted to the needs of women at every stage of their lives and to the health problems faced by newborns, children, and female and male adolescents from their birth until the age of 16. It works towards the development of cutting-edge services and specialty competence centers.

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service (SPEA) handles the inpatient or outpatient care of children and female and male adolescents suffering from mental disorders. The teams work in multidisciplinary collaboration in a university environment offering many possibilities for undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing education.

The service occupies the new premises of the Maison de l'enfance et de l'adolescence (MEA), which brings together all the units of the service in a particularly warm setting, specifically designed to improve the quality of care for the most fragile young patients.

Job description ##

You are currently undergoing training in psychotherapy or you are about to start your psychotherapy training and you wish to experience clinical work in an inpatient setting within the Inpatient Unit of the child and adolescent psychiatry service (SPEA).

In the inpatient setting, you ensure follow-ups for the families of hospitalized children and adolescents, you participate in the development of care projects, in team meetings and in interdisciplinary summaries, in close collaboration with the clinical heads, the intern doctors and with the nursing team.

Profile description ##

You possess a MAS in psychotherapy or neuropsychology (or have been in the MAS training process for at least one year) or a title deemed equivalent.

You have experience working with children and female and male adolescents and their families.

You appreciate and are comfortable with interdisciplinary and interprofessional work.

You possess knowledge of specific tools for the care of children, female and male adolescents.

You have knowledge of the child psychiatric care network, as well as the Geneva social and educational network.
