The IT services of the city of Thun (IDT) are a central provider for the city of Thun, Thun's public schools, and for third-party clients, such as regional municipalities. IDT currently manages and maintains approximately 4'300 workstations, 215 servers, 4'800 user accounts in the educational network, and 800 user accounts in the administration. Within the IT services of Thun, you will gain an exciting overview of the city's various tasks and help support them with our innovative IT solutions. Your tasks:

• Receive and process hardware, software, and network problems via telephone or ticketing system
• Prepare and install IT workstations
• Assist in the analysis, resolution, and documentation of ICT problems
• Support the ordering process and the management of warranty cases
• Assist in the management of access rights
• Update and record knowledge entries on IT topics and create new process descriptions

You bring:

• Preferably a secondary school diploma or secondary level school with 10th school year
• Interest in IT and new technologies
• Confident command of German, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of English
• Creativity in searching for solutions and speed of understanding
• Reliable, conscientious work and willingness to learn new things
• Open and helpful personality with enjoyment of human contact
