Patrol Officer - CDI (M/F)

Class 6

Your mission:

• Ensure the safety of children during school entry and exit hours;
• Protect schoolchildren from traffic dangers by facilitating their crossing of the roadway;
• Contribute to road safety education by monitoring the behavior of students in road traffic;
• Perform the following schedules:

Mandatory availability from Tuesday to Friday.

The schedules may be slightly modified depending on the evolution of the Service's needs.

Planned schedules:

Tuesday 7h35-8h45 / 11h30-11h50 / 13h10-14h00 / 16h00-16h20

Wednesday 7h35-8h05 / 11h30-11h50

Thursday 7h35-8h45 / 11h30-11h50 / 13h10-14h00 / 16h00-16h20

Friday 7h35-8h45 / 11h30-11h50 / 13h10-14h00 / 16h00-16h20

This schedule corresponds to a work rate of 22.06%.

Your profile:

• Be at least 20 years old;
• Be of Swiss nationality or in possession of a valid permit;
• Be able to present a clean criminal record;
• Be domiciled in the commune de Plan-les-Ouates or in the nearby region;
• Have a good command of French;
• Demonstrate punctuality;
• Be willing to guarantee the aforementioned split schedules;
• Appreciate close contact with the population;
• Ensure replacements in case of need;
• Possess good knowledge regarding traffic, road signaling, laws and regulations (specific training will also be provided for this purpose);
• Be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Employment is subject to the approval of the Département des institutions et du numérique (Etat de Genève) and the successful completion of the basic training provided and delivered by the brigade d-éducation et de prévention of the police cantonale.
