The Trägerverein für die offene Jugendarbeit der Stadt Bern (toj) offers youth centers, mobile youth work, and sociocultural projects for young people between 12 and 22 years old in 5 districts. You can learn more about our organization at www.toj.ch In Team Bern West, we are looking for a FLINTA* person as a Sociocultural Worker / Youth Worker (20 %) starting September 1, 2026 Would you like to accompany young people on their way to adulthood and enable need-oriented offers as well as meeting places in the neighborhoods? Your tasks • Together with your colleagues, you will participate in the development and implementation of need-based offers for young people in the Jugendhaus G23 • Cooperation in the gender-open youth center G23 (every Friday from 16 - 22 Uhr) • Occasional involvement in youth cultural project work • Occasional involvement in mobile youth work • Participation in one team meeting per month (each Wednesday from 9:30 - 12:00) • Administrative work Your profile You have training in Sociocultural Animation, Community Animation, or a comparable qualification. Ideally, you already have experience in working with young people in the context of Open Youth Work. Applications from persons who are close to completing their studies are also welcome.   You approach young people and their life worlds with appreciation, humor, and openness. Organizational and creative skills characterize you, and you have good IT application skills. You are aware that Open Youth Work also takes place in the evenings and on weekends, and you are willing to work accordingly. You enjoy working independently, contribute actively to the team, and take on responsibility. Additionally, it is important to you to contribute to a non-discriminatory and respectful climate in our offers.
