Your working environment

The Departement Volkswirtschaft und Inneres fulfills important tasks of the police, law enforcement, penal execution, migration and integration, municipal supervision and economy with its ten departments and over 2'400 employees. The Generalsekretariat provides the central services for the department and is the interface to the overall administration.

In the Strassenverkehrsamt (https://www.ag.ch/de/verwaltung/dvi/strassenverkehr), we are committed to road safety and environmental protection. We provide diverse services for the testing and registration of persons, vehicles and ships.

In registration, we are responsible for the registration, cancellation, changing of vehicles as well as for exchange plates and day plates etc. We execute changes to vehicle registration documents and the depositing of license plates. We also look after the registration of ships. We are in active contact with customers, insurance companies and authorities via the counter, on the telephone and in writing.
