• Manage, develop and consolidate the data compliance management system within the organization and monitor its effectiveness
• Develop governance principles, directives, roles and processes and integrate them into operating systems and procedures
• Identify and assess risks related to data compliance and accompany the implementation of adequate measures for their management
• Execute and refine risk-based audits and assessments as well as identify and monitor improvement measures
• Direct or accompany projects and change initiatives between law, organization and IT as well as provide advice to management areas and specialist sectors regarding data compliance requirements
• Design and implement training, awareness and communication measures

What distinguishes you

• University degree at master's level or equivalent training as well as in-depth knowledge of data protection law and information law
• At least five years of professional experience in the field of compliance and governance as well as extensive experience in the development and implementation of governance structures, standards, roles and processes or compliance management systems
• For the position focused on governance and development, extensive experience in the field of audit and the internal control system (ICS) is specifically required; experience in risk management is a preferred qualification
• Deep understanding of data, information systems, business processes and the related legal and organizational connections
• Experience in directing or accompanying complex projects and change initiatives in the field of compliance and governance as well as the ability to quickly understand complex issues, structure them and communicate them appropriately to the recipients
• Good written and oral knowledge of two official languages and English, each at least at level B2

To strengthen our Data Compliance team, we are looking for two expert specialist persons. Both functions include a similar range of duties, with different areas of competence. For one position, we are looking for a person with in-depth experience in governance and continuous development in the field of audit and the internal control system (ICS); for the other position, we are looking for a person with extensive experience in the implementation and organizational consolidation of Data Compliance.

The Data Compliance division of fedpol ensures secure, responsible and legally compliant information management throughout the entire data lifecycle. It is responsible for the creation, management and continuous development of the data compliance management system for the entire Office and for the further development of the necessary governance, verification and control structures.
