• Conduct international legal assistance procedures in often complex and/or media-intensive proceedings
• Order the necessary coercive measures to collect evidence (including before judges of coercive measures), as well as the seizure and confiscation of criminal proceeds
• Render interlocutory and final decisions relating to the granting of legal assistance
• Take a position before the Federal Criminal Court and the Federal Supreme Court in case of disputes regarding the scope or the granting of assistance
• Ensure the coordination of assistance procedures with Swiss criminal proceedings conducted for the same facts

What distinguishes you

• University degree in law (master's level) with specialization in the field of criminal prosecution and good knowledge of criminal law and criminal procedure; lawyer's license
• Several years of practical experience at a public prosecutor's office or a court in a similar function
• Aptitudes in economic and IT fields
• In-depth knowledge of criminal procedure (in particular coercive measures) and mastery of administrative procedure
• Strong initiative, analytical skills, diplomacy, multidisciplinary thinking, versatility, open-mindedness
• Ability to communicate in at least two official languages and in English

In summary

In this function, you will direct the execution of legal assistance requests submitted by third countries to collect evidence as well as to identify, seize, and remit assets for the purpose of confiscation related to illegal acts. The field of activity will cover all areas of competence of the MPC, from terrorism to international corruption to stock market crimes. Occasionally, you may be required to conduct criminal proceedings in the areas of terrorism, cybercrime, or international criminal law.
