At the Universitäres Psychiatrisches Zentrum Bern (UPZ), nursing means much more than care: It is a decisive factor for stabilization, safety and recovery in acute psychiatric crisis situations. On Station Lüthi, a specialized acute ward, our team accompanies people with complex psychiatric challenges around the clock. With your additional function as specialist responsibility, you contribute significantly to ensuring that patients feel safe, respected and understood - even in stressful moments. The UPZ offers an environment in which evidence-based nursing, interdisciplinary cooperation and professional innovation come together.

Your tasks

• You take on the specialist responsibility for nursing on the ward and promote evidence-based, high-quality patient care
• You professionally accompany people with illnesses from the schizophrenic spectrum, schizoaffective disorders or delusional illnesses through demanding treatment phases
• You support and advise the nursing team in complex nursing issues and promote professional exchange
• Together with the interdisciplinary treatment team, you further develop nursing concepts and implement current findings into practice
• You actively engage in nursing development, initiate improvements and contribute to the further development of our quality standards
• You plan, coordinate and evaluate the nursing process and ensure professional documentation

Your profile

• You have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a diploma as a nursing specialist HF/FH and are willing to complete a Bachelor's degree
• You bring professional experience in psychiatry and ideally have sound knowledge in the care of people with psychotic illnesses
• You enjoy helping to shape nursing developments and passing on your knowledge within the team
• You work independently, responsibly and maintain an overview even in demanding situations
• You value interprofessional cooperation and meet patients with appreciation, empathy and professionalism
• You have very good German skills in speaking and writing
