What you can contribute

• Ensure the services of the J23 domain within the framework of the planning and conduct of the Army's subsidiary engagements
• Participate in the planning of operations and engagements in Switzerland and abroad at the operational level as well as in the development of the intelligence concept and the drafting of technical orders intended for the direct subordinates of the Chef cdmt op and the Grandes Unités
• During the situation monitoring phase, ensure the implementation of the order data into intelligence as well as the coordination of intelligence collection within the civil-military intelligence network at the operational level
• Ensure the analysis and evaluation of the threat, the contextualization of the possibilities, capabilities, and intentions of the opposing party, as well as the dangers related to the environment and context in the planning process and situation monitoring of the cdmt op
• Be prepared to ensure the services of the J23 op domain in the absence of the chef J23 op and to represent him during management or conduct meetings as well as with the action planning groups of the EM cdmt op

What makes you unique

• Higher education degree (Master's) or equivalent training (preferably in law, business administration, history or political science)
• Staff officer or cdt cp (ideally with an EMG proposal)
• Two to three years of professional experience and/or experience in peace promotion engagements
• Analytical and conceptualization skills, systemic thinking, stress resistance and the ability to act autonomously and responsibly
• Active knowledge of at least two national languages and very good command of English

The Operations command (cdmt Op) is responsible for all operations and all military engagements of the Swiss Army. The cdmt Op includes notably the Air Force, the Land Forces, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT Competence Center, the Special Forces command as well as the Military Police. Approximately 40 % of the approximately 2500 employees are employed in the civilian sector, from engineers to analysts to aircraft mechanics.

The Swiss Army employs more than 9000 employees in four military professions and approximately 200 civilian professions, across 110 sites throughout Switzerland. It also ensures succession by training apprentices in more than 30 trades.
