As an Electrical Installer at Lonza, you wire residential, commercial, and industrial facilities and lay electrical lines in conduits and cable ducts. You assemble control cabinets and connect them. But tasks such as programming small controls and building automation systems are also part of it. During your training, you will learn how to inspect electrical installations and commission them. In maintenance, you will help with troubleshooting using your skills and repair faulty devices. Your training The training lasts four years in the training company. Vocational school takes up on average about one day per week. During the first half of the apprenticeship, a broad foundation of knowledge and skills is laid in the basic training. The focus is on production technology, circuit and measurement technology, as well as microcomputer technology. In the second half of the apprenticeship, specialized training in operational areas of activity follows. In this training phase, trainees deepen their knowledge and skills through exemplary learning on production orders and projects.
