Care and Support Assistant in the Anesthesiology Service - 80% to 100%

As part of your role in the Anesthesiology Service, you will participate in patient care in collaboration with a large team of nursing and caregiver staff within the operating theaters or in post-intervention care units.
You will assist the patient with hygiene care or other activities of daily living.
You will ensure the maintenance and cleaning of anesthesia equipment and devices according to the hygiene rules in force at HUG.
You will guarantee the replenishment of anesthesia SAS, specific procedure baskets, and stocks between surgical interventions.
You will also manage the stocks of common material used by the employees of the Anesthesiology Service.

You hold an Attestation de formation professionnelle (AFP) as a care and support assistant or a nursing assistant certificate and you have perfect mastery of the French language, both written and oral.
You have a minimum of two years of experience in a hospital environment, ideally in acute care (emergency, operating rooms, intermediate care, intensive care, etc.).
Autonomous, you have a sense of priorities and good stress management skills.
You execute the tasks entrusted to you with precision and rigor.
You are interested in technology and have good physical stamina.
Your good knowledge of HUG as well as your ability to adapt are real assets for working within a large multidisciplinary team.

You will work with irregular hours distributed over 7 days a week. On-call shifts on weekends and public holidays are to be expected within the HUG physiotherapy network.

The largest center in Switzerland in terms of the number of interventional acts performed per year, the Anesthesiology Service is at the forefront of progress made in this field. The service also provides pre- and post-graduate and continuing education for nurses and doctors in specialized training. As a service provider, anesthesiology also intervenes in the field of interventional analgesia and in life-threatening emergency situations intra-hospital or pre-hospital alongside the Emergency Service.
