Tasks ###

You will work in a cycle 3 special education class, which is entrusted to you in accordance with the mission of Alter École. This reinforced class is located in the Alter École premises in Tavannes and welcomes between 4 and 5 students requiring intensive support. The students in this class notably present autism spectrum disorders, sometimes accompanied by challenging behaviors; they require adapted support and an individual organization of space. You can rely on the support provided by a school assistant during the students' presence times. A pair of teachers covers the 31 weekly periods of the class (4 periods are related to meal times and without the presence of teachers). You work from Monday to Thursday. In collaboration with the pedagogical team, you plan and prepare your lessons referring to the PER and the individualized project of each student. You create favorable learning conditions adapted to our students. You encourage and supervise interactions between students and promote their autonomy.

Requirements ###

Master's in special education or curative pedagogy; OR teaching diploma with experience in the specialized field; OR HES bachelor's in social education with experience in a specialized school setting and willingness to undertake a Master's in special education; Experience in supporting students with special needs; Flexibility regarding the students being supported; Ability to work in multidisciplinary and institutional teams
