As we continue to expand our global presence, we are looking for an operational (Junior) Legal Counsel to help build our in-house legal function. This is a high-responsibility role within a small, tight-knit team: you will work directly with our commercial and cross-functional teams to advance deals and manage risks.

Your responsibilities

Take charge of end-to-end commercial contracting - drafting, reviewing, and negotiating software licenses, SaaS, data sharing and licensing, service and confidentiality agreements, ensuring deals move forward without compromising risk management.

Be the go-to legal partner for the commercial team - be close to the business, translate legal risks into clear commercial advice, and help conclude contracts aligned with our business objectives.

Build for scale - develop templates, practical guides, and self-service tools that allow the company to quickly handle standard issues, so that legal time is dedicated to matters that truly need it.

Advise on the laws and regulations that shape B2B SaaS and the meteorological data industry, including intellectual property, data protection (e.g., Swiss FADP and GDPR).

Protect the company's intellectual property and data assets and help integrate good data protection practices throughout the organization.

Manage and coordinate external counsel across jurisdictions - while maintaining high quality and reasonable spend.

Raise legal awareness across the entire company through practical training and clear, usable guidelines.

Your qualifications

Master's or higher degree from an accredited law faculty;

2 to 4 years of experience as a Legal Counsel, Legal Analyst, or in a comparable role - ideally in a B2B or SaaS technology company, or in a reputable law firm.

Good proficiency in B2B SaaS contracts, intellectual property, and data privacy, with the necessary confidence to manage legal issues in an international context.

Commercial and pragmatic mindset - you find the way to "yes" while clearly flagging what is truly important.

Comfortable working autonomously and defining your own priorities in a fast-paced and lean environment; you like taking responsibility rather than waiting for directives.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and writing skills in English. German, French, Spanish - or any other language - is a real plus given our Swiss base and international clientele.
