Finance & Projects Specialist 80-100 %.

Your tasks

• Co-responsibility for financial and project accounting
• Monitoring of billing deadlines and creation of project settlements according to donor standards in coordination with the project managers
• Auditing local project accounting and supporting the teams in our programs
• Accompanying projects from a financial perspective, contributing expertise to project teams, and clarifying standards of partners and donors
• Support with interim and annual financial statements as well as internal and external audits
• Development of practical standards for budgets, reports, and project settlements
• Responsibility for financial donation administration (booking, allocation, and reconciliation of donations and the corresponding accounts)
• Depending on experience and interest, you will take on additional tasks at the interfaces with our programs and internal services

Requirements

• Commercial or equivalent training as well as at least one further education at the level of accounting clerk or in training for the federal diploma of expertise in finance and accounting
• Interest in project accounting including enthusiasm for transferring know-how in an international, meaningful environment
• Independent, structured, and networked way of working as well as openness to a dynamic environment
• Very good Excel skills and a high IT affinity
• Good German and English skills for cooperation in Luzern and with our international teams
• A plus, but not a must: Portuguese language skills for exchange with the Mozambique program, experience with Abacus, in project accounting and the NGO or IZA world.
