What you can move

• Optimization of the existing on premise Data Warehouse as a basis for the later migration
• Technical implementation of the migration from a Data Warehouse towards an on premise Data Lakehouse architecture
• Operation, monitoring and further development of the Data Lakehouse after initial setup
• Preparation and provision of data for BI to AI use cases
• Introducing and establishing best practices around Data Warehouse and Data Engineering as well as – ideally – Data Lakehouse
• Advising and supporting the business departments on questions regarding data processing and provision as well as promoting data literacy in the company

What you bring with you

• Degree in (Business) Informatics, Data Engineering or a comparable qualification
• Proven, several years of experience in the construction and operation of on premise Data Warehouse solutions, ideally also of Data Lakehouse solutions
• Profound experience in the development of data pipelines as well as with data modeling and relational database technologies, especially MSSQL
• Very good SQL knowledge and ideally also Talend knowledge
• Understanding of data architecture, Data Governance and Data Quality Management
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data structures and logic
• Ability to communicate technical matters understandably to non-technical stakeholders
• Structured, quality- and solution-oriented way of working as well as a high degree of reliability and independence
• Confident communication in German, both written and spoken; good English skills are a plus

In our Data & Analytics department, we are driving the restructuring of our data infrastructure. We are modernizing our existing Data Warehouse stack towards a future-oriented Data Lakehouse architecture, starting with the optimization of the existing setup. The Data Lakehouse forms the core of our future data platform.

For the construction, the later operation and the further development of this data platform, we are looking for an experienced personality who is technically convincing, fits into the team and enjoys working with new methods and technologies and creating sustainable, stable solutions.
