With you, data protection becomes a strategic success factor for secure and sustainable innovation.   What you can achieve • As Legal Counsel, you will work in the CEO Legal Staff function, which is directly subordinate to the Group Executive Board, and will perform a central function within the Group. • You are the contact person for data protection issues according to DSG, DSGVO and other data protection regulations. You advise on new data processing activities, conduct data protection impact assessments and accompany the handling of data protection breaches. • You independently accompany digital projects from the initial idea to implementation. In doing so, you ensure the consideration of Privacy by Design, create holistic contractual foundations, provide legal risk assessments and support the establishment of suitable governance structures. • You provide legal support for technology and procurement projects and design and negotiate contracts in the areas of IT, software, SaaS, cloud and outsourcing. In addition, you process data processing agreements, data-sharing agreements and standard contractual clauses. • You actively develop data protection governance by developing policies, privacy notices, registers, deletion concepts and action plans. • Furthermore, you help shape the legal foundations of AI governance. In doing so, you assess issues surrounding AI, Automated Decision-Making, EU AI Act as well as IP and liability aspects, thereby contributing your expertise effectively. • You work interdisciplinarily with internal and external stakeholders and develop implementable, legally sound solutions. In addition, as part of the legal department, you actively work with our legal tech solution and can help shape the digitalization of the legal department.   What you bring with you • You possess a Swiss attorney patent or an equivalent qualification. An LLM, MBA or another equivalent further education is a plus. • Several years of professional experience in a law firm and/or a corporate legal service with a focus on data protection law as well as in IT, technology and contract law distinguishes you. • You work in a structured, independent and solution-oriented manner and take responsibility for your mandates. • You communicate appropriately for the target group, moderate different interests, prioritize clearly and remain committed even in demanding situations. • You follow technological developments with interest and can understandably classify legal issues at the interface of data, IT and AI. • You communicate very well orally and in writing in a first national language and have good knowledge (oral B2) of a second national language. Good English skills round off your profile.
