We are therefore looking for, as of 1 December 2026 or by arrangement, a Head of Social Services Department (80 - 100%) ## With us you can • lead the Social Services department with a focus on social assistance and asylum professionally, organizationally, and personally, and be a member of the management team, • support and advise the Head of Social Services and the members of the Social Commission professionally and legally, • maintain the minutes of the Social Commission and implement the decisions made together with your team, • personally manage some dossiers in economic social assistance and in personal assistance (Tandem model Consulting/Administration), • work with external specialist agencies. This also includes coordination with the local elderly care specialist agency. We wish for you • a degree from a university of applied sciences in social work or a commercial basic education with comparable further training, • several years of professional experience in the field of social assistance, preferably in a municipal administration, • consulting and social competence, ability to work in a team, negotiation skills, and a convincing appearance, paired with a dose of humor, • good legal knowledge in the social sector as well as interest in societal developments, • understanding for people in difficult life situations as well as enjoyment of contact with authorities and residents.
