• Conduct analysis and assessment of foreign armed forces and their deployments
• Monitor and assess short-, medium-, and long-term military situational developments within the assigned area of responsibility
• Ensure comprehensive knowledge of all data and facts required for the ongoing assessment of situational developments
• Classify and assess military actions at the operational and military-strategic levels
• Within the framework of the defined responsibility, create reports, documentations, and situational briefings, as well as deliver specialist presentations as part of intelligence dissemination
• Maintain contacts with service users and intelligence stakeholders

• University degree (Master)
• Excellent analytical and editorial skills, critical thinking
• Broad military knowledge, preferably officer rank
• Further training in the field of intelligence and military technology
• Function-relevant professional experience
• Good active knowledge of at least a second official language and, if possible, passive knowledge of a third official language as well as good English skills

Operations Command (Kdo Op) is responsible for all military operations and deployments of the Swiss Army. Kdo Op includes, among others, the Air Force, the Army, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT Competence Center, the Special Forces Command, and the Military Police. Around 40 % of the approx. 2'500 employees are civil employees -- from engineers to aircraft mechanics to analysts.

The Swiss Army employs over 9'000 employees in four military and around 200 civil professions -- and this at 110 locations throughout Switzerland. Provision is also made for new talent: The Swiss Army trains apprentices in over 30 professions.
