At the Staatsanwaltschaft Berner Jura-Seeland in Biel, an internship position is to be assigned on various start dates. Your tasks <br /> • Draft orders for dismissal, non-prosecution, and suspension • Draft penal orders • Draft questions for interrogations and record interrogations • Draft arrest requests and applications for extension of detention • Draft indictments and closing arguments • Review dossiers for the purpose of formulating a proposal for further investigative measures • Research work and legal clarifications • Draft correspondence in international legal assistance requests <br /> Your profile A prerequisite for a legal internship is the successful completion of a Master's degree in law. You are interested in criminal law and criminal procedure law, possess quick comprehension skills, and are characterized by a structured and efficient way of working. You are also resilient and flexible. Due to your communicative and open nature, you find it easy to integrate into a team. You are a native German speaker with a confident command of expression. We offer you As an intern at a regional Staatsanwaltschaft, you will work in close cooperation with the prosecutors to process cases of adult criminal law for which the respective regional Staatsanwaltschaft is locally and substantively responsible based on the place of the offense. The crimes to be investigated include all offenses of the Strafgesetzbuch from insults and theft to murder, as well as secondary criminal law, namely road traffic and narcotics offenses. During the internship, you will generally have the opportunity (regional differences possible) within the framework of the prosecutorial on-call service to respond to an extraordinary death, participate in a house search, and—with corresponding interest—attend an autopsy.
