Field Engineer – Commissioning & Fleet Support

You will handle complex malfunction cases on rail vehicles and analyze root causes in software, components, and systems on-site. The role involves close cooperation with engineering and depot teams to find solutions.

Tasks

• Processing complex malfunction cases where other solution paths have been exhausted
• Root cause and error path analysis of software, components, and systems
• On-site measurements and investigations as well as evaluation of vehicle data
• Development and testing of solution approaches with project teams and engineering
• Cooperation with depot teams and other specialist departments
• Support from problem identification to handover to series production

Profile

• Completed studies in electrical engineering (TU, FH, HF) or comparable training
• Initial professional experience in mechanical and plant engineering or a comparable technical industry
• Business fluent German skills and very good English skills (at least B2)
• Willingness to travel approx. 50 percent within Europe
• Quick comprehension and structured way of working under time pressure
• Strong communication skills in interface management with customers and operators
