Senior Fundraiser: Foundations and Major Gifts (80-100%) #

For our offers to reach the people who need them, visibility, trust, and sustainable funding are required. With great creative freedom, professionalism, and competence, we obtain the financial means for our humanitarian commitment and wish to secure and develop it in the long term. As a Senior Fundraiser, you play a central role in financing our programs in the canton of Zurich. You maintain reliable relationships with foundations and major donors, develop support partnerships, and ensure, in collaboration with specialized departments, that our offers are secured in the long term. You bring new impulses and support the development of our fundraising activities.

What you accomplish with us

• You develop the fundraising strategy in the field of foundations and bring new impulses for sustainable support partnerships
• With tact and negotiation skills, you maintain existing relationships with supporting foundations and win new support for our projects and services
• In close collaboration with program managers, you draft funding requests and accompany the process from submission to reporting
• You manage major individual donations from private individuals and create lasting links with our organization
• With your expertise, you actively contribute to the design of direct marketing measures for major donors and bring creative ideas for new approaches
• You assume responsibility for the planning and implementation of fundraising events and ensure a professional presentation
• With clear budget management and cross-sector collaboration, you make an important contribution to the overall impact of fundraising, marketing, and communication

What convinces us about you

• University-level education or equivalent, relevant continuing education is an asset
• At least 5 years of experience in relationship marketing in the non-profit or private sector with a focus on customer loyalty and key account management
• Additional qualification in fundraising (e.g., CAS Fundraising Management, CAS Fundraising Strategies) is an asset
• Linguistic proficiency and excellent written skills in German
• You approach people proactively and lead projects to completion with initiative and a sense of conclusion
• Authentic and enthusiastic personality, who creates trust and actively and sustainably maintains relationships
• Strong intrinsic motivation for the humanitarian values of the Red Cross and identification with our local aid organization
