YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Responsible for technically correct design, technical coordination, and development of mechanical, welding-related, and partly structural assemblies in the area of car body repairs (DIN EN 15085-6)
• Creation of welding-related feasibility studies, concepts, and repair instructions
• Close cooperation with production, calculation, purchasing, and project management
• Responsible specialist and interface between mechanical engineering and project management during the entire repair projects
• Constant cross-location exchange with specialists and colleagues
• Developing (new solutions) / creating (existing solutions), designing production-ready solutions/repairs of structural damage to car bodies
• Assessment of accident-damaged rail vehicles domestically and abroad.

YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• Completed education (HTL, FH, Uni) in the field of mechanical engineering / mechanics
• Good knowledge of current CAD systems, preferably Catia V5 in the areas of solid modeling (surface modeling is an advantage)
• Experience in the rail vehicle industry is an advantage
• Curiosity and motivation to familiarize yourself with this future-oriented field
• Up to 10% willingness to travel for assessment of accident-damaged rail vehicles
• Very good German and English skills (B2) in spoken and written form
• Resilience during varying project inflow
• You want to implement theory into practice, partially supervise the implementation, and see the final results live
• Desirable: Training as an International Welding Engineer (IWE), International Welding Technologist (IWT), or International Welding Specialist (IWS)
