Veterinary Practice Assistant TPA Emergency Clinic Basel Land

Between exciting emergencies and state-of-the-art diagnostics: veterinary expertise is in demand around the clock in Northwestern Switzerland. In the Basel region, Canton of Basel-Landschaft, we are looking for a Veterinary Practice Assistant EFZ immediately or by agreement with a workload of 80 – 100 %. In a highly modern 24/7 emergency and referral clinic with state-of-the-art diagnostics, you can expect a varied working day with challenging cases and specialists from various disciplines.

This is what you can expect from this responsible task

• You receive and advise animal owners by phone and in person, plan appointments and maintain customer records
• You assist in the consultation and support operations including anesthesia monitoring and post-operative care
• You take and process laboratory samples independently and participate in X-ray and ultrasound examinations
• You maintain and sterilize surgical instruments and ensure cleaning, inventory management, and food orders
• You support in emergencies and participate in weekend and night shifts according to the duty schedule
• You are responsible for invoicing services and medications

• Completed training as a Veterinary Practice Assistant EFZ
• Professional experience in a small animal practice or clinic
• Very good German language skills (at least level C1)
• Enjoy working with animals and people
