Specialist in Care EFZ

Rocio Carvajal, vocational trainer, tells you what your apprenticeship with us could look like:
During your three-year training, you will gain in-depth insights into the health and social care sector. During your entire training period, you will be closely accompanied by me as a vocational trainer and my team, individually supported, and specifically prepared for the successful completion of your apprenticeship.
As part of the agogic team, you accompany people of all ages in everyday life. You care for people with an impairment, promoting their independence and well-being. You accompany the residents during various social or cultural activities to promote contacts and community life. In addition, you accompany the residents to appointments or support them with everyday tasks. Over time, you will build a relationship with our residents, help them promote their health, independence, and quality of life, and be part of a great team. Your administrative tasks include recording documentation for residents, arranging appointments, or organizing excursions.

Your Profile

• Completion of secondary school in the E performance level (or A performance level with good academic performance)
• Joy in interacting with people
• Empathy and good powers of observation
• Ability to work in a team
• Physical and mental resilience
• Willingness to work irregular hours
• Good oral German skills

Our Offer
We offer you professional training and comprehensive support by experienced professionals. You will receive 4-6 days of individual learning support per training year to look at various topics, whether academic or practical. You will work in a well-coordinated and motivated team.
The irides AG is located in the heart of the city of Basel and is very easily accessible by public transport or bicycle.
